Sandra Sánchez-Sarasúa de la Bárcena. Sandra graduated in Psychology and received her MSc in Neurociencias Básicas y Aplicadas (Universidad de Valencia, 2015), and she carried out her Master’s thesis with the grupo Neurobiotecnologia. International PhD (Grupo Neurobiotecnologia UJI 2021), cum laude. Interests: behavioral neuroscience, brain anatomy, nociception, pain matrix, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), rodent stereotaxic surgery, in vivo calcium imaging, microscopy, python, reward circuitry, learning and memory. Current Position: Margarita Salas fellowship (2021-2024), Next Generation EU, Universidad de Burdeos, Francia). ORCID.

Sariah De Los Ángeles Giraldo Narcizo, PhD student Progam CIencias, (co-director Dr Antonio Guerrero). Sariah graduated in Biotechnology at Universitat Rovira i Virgili (2016). She received her MSc degree in Applied and Pharmacological Chemistry at UJI, and her Master’s Thesis with the Neurotecnología group. Her interests focus on plastic enzymatic degradation, and developing innovative tools to degrade plastic waste and textiles.

María Meseguer Beltran, PhD student, Program: Biomedical and Health Science. María graduated in Biomedicine at Universitat de Lleida (UdL) in 2020 and received her MSc in Biomedical Research at the same university. She carried out her Master’s Thesis with the Neurobiotecnología group. Currently, she is studying the neuroinflammatory processes underlying Attention Deficit/Hyperactive Disorder symptomatology in a mouse model of the disease.

Ania Canseco Rodriguez, PhD student, Doctorate Program: Biomedical and Health Science. (Co-director Dr Floren Gonzalez Adelantado). Ania graduated in Pharmacy at Universidad Complutense (UCM), Madrid in 2018. She received her MSc degree in Biomolecules and Cellular dynamics at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) in 2020, doing her Master’s Thesis on a new mutation of a GABA transporter causing epilepsy. Her research interests focus on neuroinflammation, its interactions with non-coding RNA expression; and developing new therapeutic strategies to treat neurodegenerative diseases.

Carlee Marquez; Fulbright fellow; academic visitor- September 2023-June 2024.  Senior at Swarthmore College: bachelor’s degrees in Biochemistry and Psychology. Experience in the synthesis of semiconductor nanoparticles. Interests; Medical studies and research in developing innovative nanoparticles with biomedical applications.
